We've all been there – those moments in the workplace where you question everything. "Is it me?!" is that feeling, and if you've felt it, you've absolutely landed in the right spot. At 'Is It Me?!', we're here to tackle those moments head-on, empowering you to navigate workplace challenges with confidence.
I'm Amy Bennett, and with 18 years in social care, including a decade in residential care and four years in management, I've truly seen it all. I've worked my way up through the ranks, gaining a deep understanding of workplace dynamics from every angle.
But more than my qualifications, it's my burning passion for justice that drives me. I've spent years on the front lines, both as a staff member and a middle manager, fighting for basic workplace rights and fair treatment for everyone. This firsthand experience fuels my commitment to helping you find your voice and advocate for yourself.
I've qualified with an SVQ4 in Children and Young People, and hold a CMI Level 3 in Chartered Management. These qualifications, combined with my extensive practical experience, equip me with a unique perspective on leadership, team dynamics, and effective workplace communication.
Workplaces demand constant growth. We all know that manager or colleague who's stuck in their ways for 20 years – perhaps they're resistant to change, lack support, or simply don't want to evolve. Whatever the reason, we can learn together how to professionally challenge them. We'll equip you to ask the right questions, the right way, following the right route.
I created 'Is It Me?!' to empower that quiet voice inside you and build a supportive community where we can hold managers accountable. Our goal is to foster a working environment that's less stressful. By increasing our knowledge and openly discussing "the elephant in the room," you'll learn how to approach issues head-on. This proactive approach minimises the negative impact work can have on your mental health and personal life.
Are you fed up with poor leadership, only to find the same issues resurface when you move on? Or perhaps you're a leader eager to change your approach but unsure how? It's never too late to evolve!

This mission matters because far too many individuals in the UK workplace find themselves questioning their own perceptions, battling with poor leadership, and struggling to understand their fundamental rights.
Having personally spent 18 years in social care, including a decade in residential settings and four years in management, I've seen firsthand the profound impact of unfair treatment and the vital need for robust support. My own journey, marked by fighting for basic workplace rights and fair treatment, ignited a deep passion for justice that underpins "Is it me?!".
This platform exists to empower that often-silenced voice, to equip individuals with the knowledge to challenge outdated practices and ineffective leadership, and to provide the practical tools and community support necessary to confidently advocate for a less stressful, more equitable working life. We're here because everyone deserves to thrive, not just survive, in their professional environment, and it's never too late to learn, grow, and demand the fair treatment you deserve.
At "Is it me?!", our philosophy is simple yet powerful: we believe in empowering the "little voice."
We understand that in any workplace, it's easy to feel unheard, overlooked, or intimidated, especially when faced with established hierarchies or challenging personalities. You might feel like you're just one person against a system, or that your concerns aren't significant enough. But every voice matters, and every individual deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Our mission is simple, it's to transform that quiet self-doubt into confident action. We do this by providing the support, knowledge, and tools you need to understand your rights, challenge unfair situations, and advocate effectively for yourself. We're here to remind you that you're not alone, your feelings are valid, and with the right guidance, you absolutely have the power to influence positive change in your working life. We champion the individual, ensuring even the smallest voice can resonate with impact.
